There are no magic bullets when building a successful blog. After working for many years the one thing I’ve learned is that there is no short cut to success. No bit of software, no ebook, no tool or trick. What it takes to be successful is perseverance, dedication, optimism and just plain old hard work!

The AIM Principal – What Is It and How Can It Help Your Blog

Simply put The AIM Principal stands for Automation, Integration and Monetization. As I said, there are no magic bullets but when you’re starting a new blog it just makes sense to use whatever tools there are to help you make the most with least. When first starting out a new blog is in direct competition with millions of other blogs already attracting tons of traffic. How does your blog stand out from the rest? Why should anyone read your posts? Since most new bloggers are limited in money and time the question so often asked is “How can I attract a targeted audience with minimal resources?”

Implementing The AIM Principal In Your Blog

OK. You’ve created a blog and you need to take the next step. I would suggest that you think about using “The Internet Trifecta“; WordPress, Twitter and YouTube as your blog‘s foundation. Imagine writing a post about just about any topic in your niche. Automatically that post is up and viewed immediately on Twitter. Thousands if not tens of thousands of followers see your post and hopefully retweet. It starts to spread virally. At the same time you create a real short video on the same topic and upload it to YouTube.Within the video you mention your blog and point your viewers to more information contained within your new post. Additionally you broadcast a message to the thousands of Subscribers and Friends you’ve accumulated on your YouTube Channel always Integrating somewhere within that broadcast your blog‘s new post. You can attach your new video to that broadcast as well.

After uploading your video you embed it on  your post and also Integrate it within your social networks. Much of this can be done Automatically using a wide range of WordPress plug-ins. As far as Automation and Integration we’ve only touched upon the tip of the iceberg.

What’s Available to Help Automate, Integrate and Monetize Your Blog?

There are numerous applications to help you Automate this process. Programs like JumpStart2 and Tube Toolbox for YouTube, TweetAdder and Tweet Spinner for Twitter and just a ton of plug-ins for WordPress can help you take this process to the next level. Once again, as stated above, none of these are magic bullets. None of these will guarantee thousands of dollars in your bank account when you wake up in the morning. What I can tell you is that I started suing this concept myself only a few months ago and right now we are seeing over 25,000 yearly new visitors to our blog.

To some this number may seem small, to new bloggers this is a reasonable goal to reach using the AIM Principal. I can only assume that over the coming months the number of visitors to my blog will grow geometrically. Using the tools I’ve placed on my blog to help monetize it (as well as the tools I’ve used on Twitter and YouTube) millions of visitors are not necessary for success. Fewer numbers of real targeted, interested, loyal readers to a blog are far more important than sheer numbers.
